Student information
includes general information such as name and address, home
school, enrolled program and much more.
Student attendance
is entered by teachers from a computer located on their desk. A list
of the appropriate students is displayed, and the teacher simply
checks the students which are absent and "posts" the information.
Administrators may enter absences, update absences, or add comments
as needed. Security is set so no teacher may see students other than
their own. This information is used to generate information
required for reporting to the Pennsylvania Dept. of Education.
Student grades
are also entered by the teachers, and maintainable by
administrators. A core grade scale is used for entering percentage
grades. These grades are translated to letter grades automatically
using the school-wide standards. Administrators also have the
ability to "shut off" grades so no changes may be made by anyone who
is not an administrator.
Student recruiting
tracks
information for 9th, and 10th grade. This information is used for
follow-up letters, visitations and enrollment statistics.
The IEP, or
Individualized
Education Plans,
allows students to set goals and objectives, track modifications and
adaptations. Evaluations may also be recorded.
Students prepare a
portfolio
for use when entering the job market. Their progress towards it's
completion is tracked so those needing further assistance may be
given it.
Driving/Parking
allows information for up to 4 cars to be entered and monitored for
each student. Students may also be searched by license plate
number.
The
graduate follow-up
survey provides
the school with information useful in evaluating not only the
success of it's program, but also the success of it's students.
Information of post-secondary schooling, military, and careers is
maintained. The student's evaluation of their education is also
entered.
Daily announcements
may be entered
into the system, and are displayed whenever the system is started.
Included in this is the ability for the teacher to click a button an
have an audio file of the
Pledge of Allegiance
played. |
